Truth, Reconciliation and Coission X AFROPRESENT – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

In seeking ways in which to heal our Afropresent, I deconstructed the ‘memories’ of the TRC, inserting the work of contemporary fashion designers, to ask how the lack of any follow-up to the memory-healing work – that would’ve tied into how the individual ‘home’ could continue to address this state of healing – results in a nation that really is not ‘over its wounding. How can film/AR confront difficult histories and erasures in ways that invite everyone in, to share grievances, to unpack conflict, and to co-create new narratives?
