Thursday, April 1, 2021: Part 1 – Exit Denver into Nebraska: Oisin was up early and departing Denver by 8:30 am. Client work, avacado/egg/ham/cheese omelette for breakfast. All packed up and hitting the road. Driving through dusty Eastern Colorado into Nebraska. Starbucks and gas at North Platte. Forgot about ethenol fuel in this state, accidentally put in regular tank. A whole lot of nothing. Arrive at the Platte River Archway in Kearney for a rest area / road stop. Admired the arch, walked the Platte river walk, viewed the lodgehouse and sod house. Followed the history of early pioneers across the bison lands. Checked out the Chain O Lakes, and stopped for the night in Hastings. Windy weather. Time jump 2 hours ahead from West Coast time.
