In the making of “The Disillusionment of Roman” I was booked a week before the shoot & flew out with @xangphotography to LA to meet with @projectrunway designer @bishme_cromartie to talk about the concept for his newest fashion collection drop.

We discussed the effects of last year with the pandemic and the parallel between reality with the lock down and our inner creative-self being locked up. This opened up an inspiration for this piece to create a parallel between two characters in the film.

An illusion played out by two personas of the same identity. One being a token of a stagnant reality & another being a restless imagination, blurring the lines to become one & evolving into something better. A metaphor towards our creative spirit being released from it’s dormant cocoon & its transformation as the world reopens. His latest collection symbolizes this change as it pushes his evolution from his old style to his new more bold designs.

As experimental as the film seemed, these were the creative guidelines we had set for this project. Enjoy!
