Arne Frager has been a recording engineer/producer and independent studio owner for 36 years in LA and the San Francisco Bay Area.

From 1985-to 1987, Arne was an Instructor at Los Angeles City College. He taught the recording studio program, which included a lecture 3 days/a week, and led the 24- track studio laboratory, which included three 5-hr recording sessions weekly. Classes were typically 25 students in size. As the first
recording engineer and studio owner over many years, Arne has taught his
assistant engineers to become recording engineers and producers. As a result, many have become successful in the music, TV, and film audio mixing business.

In 1987 Arne moved with his family to the San Francisco Bay Area and took
over The Plant Studios of Sausalito, California, in 1988. He was able to re-establish
its reputation as San Francisco’s premier professional recording facility
during his 20- year ownership tenure there. Under his leadership, The Plant
Studios have produced over 50 #1 hits throughout the 1990s and 2000s,
including megahits such as „Supernatural“ for Carlos Santana and „Before.“

As a recording engineer, producer, entrepreneur, and studio
owner, he has designed and built several successful professional recording
studios. He has produced and/or engineered albums for such artists as
Michael Jackson, Prince, Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, Count Basie, John Lee
Hooker, Starship, and many others during his career in the music industry. He
has recorded many extensive orchestral recordings as a recording engineer for Claire
Fischer, including songs on 20 albums for Prince, among others.

His music career has been spent discovering and developing new artists. In addition, he produces and records singer/songwriters and bands as an independent producer and publisher for A&R Music.
