Dear reader

I would like to invite you to take a walk, take a ride on a train, ride a bike, board a ferry or hire a boat; to swim, paddle a canoe or walk on ice in winter and to arrive at an island that is located deep within the pages of a book.

May I suggest that you visit the Berlin Archipelago, which consists of more than 60 islands. Here you can discover a variety of paradises, their inhabitants, stories, and the incredible places that you never imagined within Berlin.

Take this book with you and write postcards from there like in the old days, but this time from a place where tourism does not yet exist.

Postcards from an Island is a photo book with a selection of postcards with photographs, maps, and geographical coordinates of some of the islands that are part of the Berlin Archipelago which I found while traveling aimlessly during the times of Covid lockdown.

Take your time, travel an alternate route, discover the suburbs and enjoy the adventure.
