Explore Worldwide’s interview with Lone Buffalo’s Chief Officer, Mark Steadman

Lone Buffalo Chief Officer, returned to his old office to talk to the Explore team about Lone Buffalo and how support from Explore has benefited young people.

In 2011 Explore Worldwide became the first major organisation to donate towards setting up Lone Buffalo. Manophet ‘Lone Buffalo’, who worked as Explore’s local guide, had recently passed away. Lone Buffalo co-founder and Explore Tour Leader Mark Steadman approached the travel company for support to set up the English Development Centre. 

Explore loved the idea of an English centre in Manophet’s memory – and have been supporting classes at Lone Buffalo ever since. In 2021 Explore once again pledged to support Beginner Class 1AB, (now 3C) and recently added support for a 2nd class, 1A.
