For two nights and three days we went on to staycation at Don Cesar at St. Pete Beach.
Don Cesar, the Pink Palace with expansive views of the Gulf of Mexico, is the crown jewel of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Since 1928, this monument to glamour and leisure has welcomed sun-seekers and luxury travelers… I admired it since I first saw it during one of our boat trips, always wanted to see it inside. It was meant as a gift for my soon coming birthday. St. Pete Beach is a wide strip of extra fine white sand before the endless turquoise water of the Gulf of Mexico. The same kind of sand we saw only at Siesta Key beach. We walked barefoot at sunrise at the beach for as long as we could walk. We enjoyed daytime at the beach under the umbrella, dipping ourselves once in a while in the calm and refreshing water of the Gulf, and in the evening explored the Pink Palace. The second night we had dinner at Maritana restaurant with quite exquisite food and prices. Sunset views from the elevated terrace of the Palace were spectacular!
