Boohoo’s Modern Slavery Scandal

In July 2020, the multimillion fashion retailer Boohoo Group was hit with an allegation of modern slavery. A news article reported that workers in a British factory producing clothing for Boohoo were paid as little as £3.50 an hour and were exposed to threat of coronavirus.
