My two final year projects both feature a variety of digital prints and embroidery samples which are designed for a S/S high end fashion context demonstrating a range of techniques from digitial print, fabric dyeing, heat press, digital embroidery.
My project ’Bloom’ explores my experience during the first quarantine. Inspiration for this project originates from my families allotmennt. This encouraged me to express my feelings about the current pandemic through nature as the allotment is where i spent the majority of my time, as a place for tranquiliy. Bloom bursts with colour through the fluiditiy of my painterly drawings mixed with my digital skills in both print and CAD embroidery. One of my most exciting aspects of my design ideas is heat pressing into synthetic threads using natural fabrics. Continuing this into my Final major project ‚Sakura‘ Which is inspired by oriental florals. This project focuses on developing my embroidery further through both use of vibrant colours and combinations of my print with my fabric choice.
