Journey through a NEW FLOW with Marie and her HOME TEAM. It’s important to change up your practice. When you’re learning new things, you activate your brain MORE. Repetition puts us on autopilot. When you learn something new, it causes the brain to build connections between neurons, replacing some of those we lose over time.
Flow through several sequences of poses that involve twisting and lengthening the muscles. You’ll start standing and then make your way to the floor. You’ll need a block, a pillow, and for the floor section either a long towel or yoga strap to assist you in some IT band stretches while lying on our backs. Yoga enhances your posture, body and space awareness, and improves muscle symmetry. Marie will encourage you to breathe and use your imagination, creating images to help you embody various qualities and perform poses with accuracy.
Note-You should be able to kneel comfortably on all four, drop your head forward, and you can expect to travel to the floor and back up throughout the practice. If you experience chronic dizziness, you may want to practice with a chair in front of you to limit how far you reach to the floor. Positioning your hands on a chair will help you keep your head higher.
