FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

About the Webinar:
One day they fit, the next day they don’t! Baby fashion from onesies to sleepers are ever changing when it comes to your little ones. But where do all those clothes go? Unfortunately, most end up in the landfill with all of the other baby items too. In fact, an estimated 2.2 million pounds of consumer textile waste is from ages 0 – 11. This webinar takes a unique look at fast fashion from the infant to toddler stages of life. How can we slow down all the baby clothes (cause you’re not slowing down the baby growth) and look at ways to reuse, repurpose or create more sustainable clothing (and all things baby) for infants and toddlers. On August 18, the panelists of experts including Casey Stock, Jen Rivera Bell and Jen Brannen spoke about steps that they are taking to raise awareness on this issue along with providing tips on how to be more eco-baby friendly. This panel was moderated by Katie Kurpanek with That Minimal Life in partnership with Women in Sustainability.

About the Presenters:
Casey Stock – Davita & @BeGreenHacks
Casey Stock currently leads sustainability for DaVita, across its 2800+ locations in 11 countries, for 70,000 teammates – including Science Based Targets, energy, water, waste, supply chain, green building & employee engagement. In 2019, Casey also created the @begreenhacks community on Instagram to share tips on how individuals can incorporate sustainability into their day to day. Last Fall, Casey became a mom, and is striving to raise a zero waste baby.

Jen Rivera Bell – Intersectional Todo / @jenriverabell
Jen Rivera Bell, she/her pronouns, is an indigenous mama who lives on occupied Osage Nation Territory, commonly known as Central Missouri with her partner, two kiddos (Luna 4, Cualli 2), two dogs, and two pigs. She is passionate about intersectional environmentalism. She also loves spending time in nature with her family and friends.

Jen Brannen – Good Weekend / @shopgoodweekend
Jen Brannen is the creator and designer of Good Weekend, a kids swimwear line with a focus on sustainability. After years designing for conventional fashion brands (and seeing the impact of fast fashion firsthand at home and overseas), Jen wanted to create an intentional brand with a lower impact on the planet and its people. She also wanted something that fit her chasing-around-a-sandy-toddler-on-the-beach lifestyle — so Good Weekend was born.
