When modernity left Landon Bennett looking for more, he turned inward. There, he unearthed the licit joy he’d felt making art as a child.

Now an accomplished painter and founder of the avant-garde fashion label CounterFit, he channels this emotion – as well as an esoteric understanding of life and spirituality – into whatever canvas is most readily available.

His work riffs on the lo-fi maximalism pioneered by Neo-Expressionists like Georg Baselitz and Jean-Michel Basquiat, while also incorporating idiosyncratic elements such as the universalist divine and profound humanism.
