Wanna hang out? November 2019 edition

Five parties hosted by teenagers in their bedrooms.
Audiences are invited to travel the city and visit different teenager’s bedrooms. Audience will have the chance to get a tattoo, join a diary reading evening, join a live concert night, help decorate a bedroom and close the evening at IÐNÓ with an aux party*.

*an ice cream chill out with friends of the curators playing their favourite music.

About Teenagers in Reykjavík :
Teenagers in Reykjavík is an independent art organization that was created from the work of Alexander Roberts and Ásgerður G. Gunnarsdóttir within the frame of Reykjavík Dance Festival. The curatorial practices of Ásgerður and Alexander were to seek the question and challenge who the festival was for, who it is made by, who gets to speak through it, and on whose terms. Teenagers in Reykjavík brings these questions into conversation with young people into the city and creates a platform for them to curate, collaborate and perform for local and international artists and present their own work.

Alexander and Ásgerður will continue this work within the frame of Teenagers in Reykjavík.
