Walking with Cheetah

One of the most memorable wildlife encounters during our stay at Zimanga Private Game Reserve, South Africa was this one with a family of Cheetahs. The mother and three cubs had been habituated and would mostly ignore people on foot near them. On several occasions we were able to get ahead of this lovely family and got shots of them as they walked towards us. It was quite unnerving to be just a couple of metres from these stunning animals as they walked by and glanced at us. But they paid little attention and carried on with their mission. We watched as the cubs settled down and the mothers set off to hunt Impala which were near by. The evening was closing in so we left them in peace to hunt.
