How to find art in the harsh landscapes of heavy industry?

Alexandra Kaloshina, the founder of the Radical Chic brand, has been creating unique patterns for fabric together with her team for many years. To discover new facets of her creativity, she decided to go on a trip to the Far North of Russia, to the Murmansk region.

Alexandra will go down to the mines of the Nornickel metallurgical plant, visit the forests of boundless Lapland and get acquainted with the fauna of the border reserve „Pasvik“. Why do you need such a difficult path to inspiration? What could the artist make out at industrial sites? And what prints were the result of this unusual trip?
