VERY BEST: Beyoncé

She was born as Beyoncé Giselle Knowles in Houston, Texas. She enrolled in dance classes during her early school days. Her singing talent was discovered when her dance instructor hummed a song and Beyoncé was able to finish it, even hitting the high pitched notes. In 1990 Beyoncé enrolled in Parker Elementery school, a music magnet school in Houston where she would perform with the school choir. She was also a member of the St John’s United Methodist Church as a solist for two years. When Beyonce was 8 she and school friend Kelly Rowland met LaTavia Roberson while auditioning for an all-girl entertainment group. The group eventually became Destiny’s Child.
