After experiencing the harmful speed and rigidness of the industry first-hand, designer Saskia Van Drimmelen set out a career dedicated to searching for alternative modes of working within the fashion industry. Through Painted Series, the Amsterdam-based initiative which she co-founded with theatre maker Margreet Sweerts, she investigates what it means to be a creative. Does fashion need to be a game of egos or can we exchange differently?
