Understanding Certificates of Veterinarian Inspection.mp4

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

– A certificate of veterinarian inspection (CVI) is required by states for travel between states (interstate travel) and in some cases, travel within a state (intrastate travel). A certificate of veterinary inspection is also called a health certificate. It ensures that your livestock have been checked by a veterinarian recently and that the animal at the time of inspection showed no indications of illness. From state to state, certificates of veterinarian inspection may look a little different. Generally, the following information will be included on all CVIs:

• Place of origin
• Destination information
• Transport information
• Identifiable factors of livestock
• Veterinarian information
• Certificate of veterinary inspection information
• Any lab info required or available (brucellosis or tuberculosis for example)

CVI requirements depend on each state, current disease conditions, and show or destination. At Vet Sentry, we help speed up the process of producing certificates of veterinarian inspection.
