TOP TEN: Nesbitt, Nina

She was born as Nina Lindberg Nesbitt in Scotland, UK. She has Swedish heritage as her mother is from that Scandinavian country. Nina learned to play the flute, guitar and piano as a child. She uploaded her first cover on YouTube (‚Fearless‘ by Taylor Swift) and after she got positive reaction she continued to write songs and upload them on her channel.

Nesbit met Ed Sheeran before a radio gig and after asking him for advice as an aspiring singer-songwriter she was invited to support him on his European tour. Nina released several EPs between 2011 and 2014, her 2nd one ‚The Apple Tree‘ received some BBC airplay and reached #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter-Charts. Nina released her debut album ‚Peroxide‘ in 2014, which peaked at #11 in the UK album charts. The single ‚Stay Out‘ peaked at #21 in the UK single charts, her best result ever.

She released 2 more EP’s in 2016: ‚Modern Love‘ and ‚Life In Colour‘. In 2019 she released her 2nd studio album ‚The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change‘ which peaked at #21 in the UK album charts.
