TOP TEN: Aplin, Gabrielle

She was born as Gabrielle Ann Aplin in a small village in England. Aplin started playing the guitar since she was 11. In 2010 she released her first Acoustic EP on her own record label ‚Never Fade Records‘. In 2011 she released her 2nd EP ‚Never Fade‘. One year later her 3rd EP ‚Home‘ was released. Shortly later she signed a record deal on a major label. At the end of the year she covered Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s ‚Power of Love‘ for a commercial and the song became her first and so far only #1 in the UK Single Charts. Her debut album ‚English Rain‘ was released in 2013 and charted at #2 in the UK album charts. In 2015 she released her 2nd album ‚Light Up The Dark‘. She released 3 more EPs so far – in 2016 ‚Miss You‘, in 2017 ‚Avalon‘ and a Christmas EP in 2018 called ‚December‘ with Hannah Grace.
