TOP TEN: American Authors

This band was formed in 2006 when the members of the group met each other at Berklee College of Music. They first named themselves „The Blue Pages“ before they changed their name to „American Authors“ in 2012. They are lead vocalist and guitarrist Zac Barnett, lead guitarrist James Adam Shelley, bassist Dave Rublin and drummer Matt Sanchez. In January 2013 they signed a record-deal and released their debut single „Believer“ which garnered publicity especially in Alternative radio stations. Two months later their 2nd single „Best Day Of My Life“ became their biggest hit – peaking at #11 in the US Billboard Single Charts and topping the US Adult Top 40. It also reached the Top 10 in Canada, Australia and Sweden. It was certified 3x platinum in the US and 2x platinum in Canada. In 2014 they released their debut album „Oh, What A Life“ and reached #15 in the US album charts and #12 in Canada, as well as Top 30 in the UK. It was certified Gold in the USA. In 2016 they released their follow-up album „What We Live For“ and charted in the USA at #60. This year they released their 3rd album „Seasons“.
