„To Spaces That Contain Us Heart And Soul“ is an honest recognition of the sanctity of my room. This room is where I examine, record and celebrate black joy and gender euphoria through a coalescence of self-portraits, videos and sounds of Khayelitsha; the world that exists beyond it. „To Spaces That Contain Us Heart And Soul“ is an invitation to the only physical space that has allowed me to time travel and shift dimensions safely as I grow into the fluidity of my being.

Not all spaces are able to encourage vulnerability but I am grateful for the safe space I received from my friends and at @icp ’s Teen Academy course on Immersive Storytelling. It allowed me to feel empowered enough to use the incredible lessons I learned to tell this story.
