We are Rice. A footwear brand founded in Barcelona in 2012.

After almost 10 years making handcrafted high-quality footwear, now we are launching our new baby. We call it Open21.

This sneaker is very special. Based on our records, It is the most recycled sneaker out there. The outsole is made of Rice waste from Spain and other BIO materials. This is so unique.
The upper, and all the other parts of the shoe are also sustainable and recycled. We use waste, like apple skin, corn or coffee, as well as other organic materials. And of course, it is 100% vegan.

Rice is local company, and we love making local products to support our region and to preserve the local industry and its people. Each pair of Rice is a unique hand-crafted piece, carefully made in Spain in the same factories, and by the same experts that have been making shoes since decades. This way we blend tradition and fashion and we create unique and recycled pieces that last long and deliver comfort and style for your everyday.
