The Deterrents in the Dark Forest

This short film was inspired by the novel The Three-Body Problem written by Cixin Liu.

„The universe is a dark forest. Every civilization is an armed hunter stalking through the trees like a ghost, gently pushing aside branches that block the path and trying to tread without sound. Even breathing is done with care.“

Therefore, the chains of suspicion are generated. Neither side can judge whether the other is a well-meaning civilization or not.
„First: Survival is the primary need of civilization.
Second: Civilization continuously grows and expands, but the total matter in the universe remains constant.“
„The good and the evil among civilizations. Words like good and evil are not rigorous from the science perspective, so we need to limit their meanings: the good means not actively attacking and destroying other civilizations, which the evil means the opposite.“

In daily life, night travellers face many hidden risks, especially vulnerable groups. Criminals who choose to commit crimes in the dark do not challenge those who look strong. They tend to
attack weak and accessible individuals. We cannot judge the good or evil of others in this world (the dark forest), but there must be evil people looking for prey that looks weaker than themselves.

This got me thinking about how to protect vulnerable groups at night.
In the area of biology, many weak animals like to mimic other more dangerous animals to trick predators. According to this behavior of creatures, my idea is to use wearable toy products to make users look more intimidating than they actually are.

Then, How to eliminate other people’s criminal psychology visually?
The wearable luminescent toy with special aesthetics, which equips the product users who travel at night with striking and deterrent appearance.
