Taking a Personal Project from Inspiration to Realization to Publication

While client work is fantastic, it’s often not as frequent or as meaningful as we’d like. Personal projects offer a way to not only be shooting but be shooting what you care about. That freedom can be intimidating though; what to photograph, when to do it, how to execute it, and very importantly, what to do with it when you’re done. In this seminar, celebrity and editorial photographer Chris Sorensen will talk about how he addressed these and other issues on his award-winning project Wife During Quarantine, starting with the creative aspects of first inspiration and ongoing shot ideas, continuing with the technical details of lighting and production, and finishing with the business side of self-publishing and promotion.
