FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Monday, February 28, we hosted an interactive problem solving discussion for how businesses and organizations can work together to leverage our community’s green transportation progress and accelerate reductions in greenhouse gas emissions caused by our organizations.

During this collaborative discussion you can expect to:

☑ Learn about KATS (Kalamazoo Area Transit Authority), how transportation funding works and how their 2050 plan may impact your organization’s Scope 3 GHG emissions.

☑ Hear from a state recognized climate champion for how Kalamazoo Climate Crisis Coalition’s efforts might help reduce your organization’s GHG emissions and what organizations can do to help.

☑ Hear about the Carbon Action Plan developed by the Kalamazoo Nature Center – how our collaborative efforts to reduce transportation Scope 3 GHG emissions can impact KNC reaching their goals.

☑ Learn more about what organizations in the region are doing to track and reduce their Scope 3 emissions due to transportation. Employee travel to-from and because of employment are classified as Scope 3, Category 6&7 Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Get insight into some applied tools others are using.

This information will serve as the foundation for case studies and interactive breakout room discussions that will encourage the exploration of transportation alternatives and access for all residents of the community.
