For this project Proforma curated seminar was delivered centred on the future of European residencies and exchanges in response to uncertain times. Utilising the seminar as a site of performance, DESIRE LINES was a series of online talks, commissioned artworks and discussions with EU & UK-wide physical and live streamed activity. 

A special screening was also held at Islington mill in Manchester, on 13th Nov 2021.

Another screening was also held at Proforma Pavilion in Venice, Italy at La Biennale di Venezia on 22nd April 2022. (Only possible with PaSE Platform)

This short film is about exploring sustainability of humans as individuals, through vulnerability, self reflection and challenging the set infrastructure of society. This is shown through movement, spoken word and documentation. 

Kirubel Belay is an independent multi-disciplinary artist with a practice encompassing movement, spoken word, fashion and visual content, whilst supporting humanitarian causes.
