NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

PRINCIPAL CALL MEETING – TODAY @ 11:15 AM

We will be having a very important call meeting after the 10:00 am service to extend a call for a new principal beginning next school year due to Mr. Bakken’s planned retirement.

FAITH BUILDING (BIBLE STUDY) CONTINUES

Sunday School and Bible Study: God is with us.

Midweek Bible Study (Tues., 7pm; Wed. 9am): Right Questions, Wrong Answers: World Religions

KID’S CORNER UP AND RUNNING

There’s still lots to come, but the Kids’ Corner is ready to be used by your young children during Bible study! Check it out in the church basement.

REMINDER: SUNDAY SCHOOL CHANGE

Just a reminder that the location of Sunday School and Bible study has been changed. Sunday School is in the sanctuary, while Bible study is in the church basement. Note: Teens are welcome to attend Bible study, too! The portion of Scripture covered in each is the same, and the Sunday School material is different from what is used in St. Paul’s School (so treat this like Bible study for your kids, not a repeat of school).

IS YOUR CHILD INTERESTED IN THE PUBLIC MINISTRY?

Did you know there was a Western Wisconsin District Ministerial Scholarship Fund? The Scholarship is open to any student who is a member of a congregation in the Western WI District who is planning to enter the public ministry of the WELS. The student can be enrolled in the following schools: Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Martin Luther College, Luther Preparatory School, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Lakeside Lutheran High School, Luther High School or Northland Lutheran High School. Applications for the scholarship will be accepted until October 31. Grants will be determined in November and sent to the student’s school at the beginning of second semester. 13

Setup dates are Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, and Nov. 20. St. Paul’s will be participating in the Live Nativity on December 18 and 19 (the final two days).
