JERROLD MANGLIWAN is the flag bearer of the Philippine contingent in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He is a wheelchair racer with paraplegia as the result of the effects of polio. Starting in the sport in 2009, Jerrold has represented the country and has won in many international competitions including two gold medals and one silver medal in the ASEAN Para Games in Singapore 2015. He placed sixth in the 1,500-meter T52 event in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, surpassing his previous record.

SULONG tells the story of the Filipino paralympians. This 3-part fashion video project aims at promoting inclusivity in society particularly for the differently abled. SULONG presents a paradigm shift through the story of the athletes, showcasing not only the heart of the Filipino para athlete, but also their “astig” not in spite of, but because of their conditions.
