FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Projekt Street Lace je nastal z idejo o združevanju tradicionalne idrijske čipke in sodobne ulične mode. Študenti oblikovanja tekstilij in oblačil so več stoletij staro tekstilno tehniko, izdelano s pomočjo spretnih rok klekljaric, vsak na svoj način interpretirali in ji vdahnili mladostno svežino. Projekt predstavlja uspešno medgeneracijsko sodelovanje, združevanje starih ročnih tehnik z novimi tehnologijami, kombinacijo klasičnih in modernih materialov ter preplet tradicionalnih in nekonvencionalnih motivov, vzorcev, barv. Nastali kosi oblačil tako slavijo preteklost in jo aktualizirajo.

Projekt je nastal v sodelovanju med Občino Idrija, NTF Univerze v Ljubljani, OTGO, Katedro za oblikovanje tekstilij in oblačil, Društvom klekljaric idrijske čipke in Centrom za idrijsko dediščino.

The Street Lace project was born with the idea of combining traditional Idrija lace and streetwear. Students of textile and clothing design have interpreted the centuries-old textile technique, which is made with the help of the skilled hands of lace makers, in their own way and breathed youthful freshness into it. The project represents a successful cross-generational collaboration that combines old handicraft techniques with new technologies, a combination of classic and modern materials, and a mix of traditional and unconventional motifs, patterns, and colors. The resulting garments thus celebrate the past and update it.

The project was created in collaboration between the Municipality of Idrija, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering of the University of Ljubljana, Department of Tekstiles, Graphic Arts and Design, Chair of Textile and Fashion Design, Idrija Lacemakers‘ Association and Idrija Heritage Center.
