I get asked this question on a regular basis and when I do I try to shift the focus more so on what are the dreams and desires of the person asking. How do you see your life unfolding in that house. What does “that” look like for you and your family? What are your short term and long term goals and can that house meet them? What would your monthly payments look like ? Can you act on that home vision for yourself in a comfortable fashion? How about the location? Will it support those needs and is there inherent value in that location? To me these are the questions one should ponder when considering a home purchase for they are the ones that speak to the heart and the waller most directly and personally.
