Beginning in the Brooklyn Navy Yard at the FullStack Modular manufacturing warehouse, we deep dive into the world of modular construction. Roger Krulak, CEO of FSM shows us around the shop and gives the audience an understanding what makes modular construction such a significant value proposition for the future of building the city around us.

A few buildings over from FullStack Modular in the Brooklyn Navy Yard is SITU an architecture, design, manufacture company Co-Founded by Aleksey Lukyanov-Cherny. The SITU team embodies the art of flexible design, without which the concept of a Smart City would not exist. He also touches on the many ways the companies within the Brooklyn Navy Yard have banded together to solve problems that have arisen during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Together with Aleksey, we travel to Gowanus, Brooklyn to meet up with Brooklyn SolarWorks. Positioned up on the rooftop of their building we get to see their famous solar canopy in action. We chat all things solar in New York City including successes, challenges and the future of energy.
