FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

An exploration of Singapore’s Traditional Heritage in a Modern Contemporary Singapore.

A Costume Showcase of the reimagined uniquely Singapore Peranakan Theater Play, Emily of Emerald Hills, as an Immersive Museum Experience in a Modern-Contemporary Singapore.

Meet the witty, bold, fun and sassy Matriarch of the family, Emily Gan. Let her take you on a journey to experience the Peranakan Heritage within an immersive inflatable dome, transporting you to a Modern-Contemporary Peranakan Singapore.

The costume pays homage to Singapore’s Peranakan Heritage, through reimagination of gathered inspiration from the traditional Sarong Kebaya worn by the ladies to colourful Peranakan shophouses and Peranakan tiles. Further honouring the disappearing Singapore’s traditional art of weaving.

This project is an exploration and reimagination of the play Emily of Emerald Hill, Written by Stella Kon. And inspired by Wild Rice take of Emily Gan.
