Sex Between Giant Aldabra Tortoises – La Vanille Nature Park in Mauritius!

Giant Aldabra Tortoises can weigh over 250kg or 500 lbs with a shell of over 5 feet long. So it is hard to imagine how such a large male tortoise can actually breed with a much smaller female.

We were lucky enough to visit this very special Nature Park in Mauritius. And of course, it just happened to be mating season. Aaah, with so much love in the air, it was hard not to look while quite a few males were „getting in the mood for love…“.

The sound was also quite amazing, like something out of Jurassic Park… See what you think!!
