Rich or Poor, Luke 16:19-31

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Every day there are tragic events that take the lives of unsuspecting people. Car accidents, plane crashes, and natural disasters are all part of living in a fallen world. These events cannot be foreknown, but if they could, who would have gone on the trip, taken the flight, or in some other way avoided the tragedy. What family member would not have begged their loved one not to go? What excuse or reason for travel would have been ignored to avoid the tragic events?

In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus makes clear that the horrors of hell make the tragedies of this world seem trifling. And out of amazing grace, God has forwarned us. He has given us His law, His prophets, and even His own son as a testimony to the judgment of sin and the hope of salvation. All so that sinners might repent and be saved.

In this week’s sermon, Rich or Poor from Luke 16:19-31, Pastor Ben encourages us to have an eternal perspective and repent while there is opportunity.
