Now, obviously, within California, lots of people are seeking out rehab treatment, but also lots of people outside of California are seeking rehab treatment in California and looking to travel interstate to get what is generally considered some of the best rehab treatment available in the world, not just the United States.

California has a real variety of options when it comes to rehab. And personally I think there are two states in the United States that have a real concentration of rehab treatment centers and one of them is the treatment centers in California and the other one is of course Florida. Both states have many hundreds of rehab treatment centers and I do think probably the rehab centers in California are very comprehensive. Whatever type of rehab treatment you’re looking for, you are bound to find it in California.

Whether you’re looking for a rehab for drug and alcohol misuse or for mental health issues, California’s rehabs are going to provide you really I think, with everything you’re going to need and I think along with great treatment options, there are lots of other reasons of course to go to to rehab in California as well.

First reason I think is certainly the specialized treatment that’s available. Rehab programs in California have become experts over the years providing treatment to those within California. Perhaps you’re looking for more holistic treatment or evidence based programs. Perhaps you’re looking for luxury rehab, or sober living or day rehab. All of this is available within the state of California. So something else to consider obviously is the climate in California as well, and it’s no surprise that the weather has certainly a really big impact on the way people feel.

So why else choose rehab in California? If you’re from California, well, first up is actually being around those kinds of familiar environments. Okay, so you know that home is going to be relatively close, especially when you go into that initial detox phase in California. Detox is a tough, rigorous experience and there are lots of treatment providers and medical providers that exist to make that detox more comfortable but it’s still very, very challenging and whilst obviously you may not be able to meet friends and family, during that detox process, there is some solace from knowing that they may well be reasonably close by, and, you know, in some of those dark terrible hours of detox then it can be certainly something of a reassurance to know that you have friends and family who are fairly close.

So, there are certainly pros and cons to considering rehab in California or not. So no summary of rehab in California would be complete without at least a brief mention of so-called Deluxe rehabs. And I think in California, you’re going to find the biggest concentration of Deluxe rehabs in the world. Florida certainly has lots of luxury facilities as well, but California really is the home of Deluxe rehab centers.

However, at the end of the day, rehab treatment is about getting better. It’s about getting well. It’s about getting off drugs and alcohol. It’s about changing your life, changing your life for the better, and hopefully is a period in your life which will lead to long term sobriety and recovery. So it’s absolutely crucial that when you’re researching the different treatment centers available, that you do look at a whole range of treatment centers and potentially the strength and quality of treatment being received.
