PUEBLA-GHERARDI-PRESENTATION.MOV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

This video goes in hand with my trend forecast essay, where my peer, URI student Emma Gherardi and myself, predict trends for 2022/2023. This was our final for our Trend Forecasting and Fashion Theory class. We wanted to convey the importance of sustainability in our video, in addition to finding a „clean slate.” With the unexpected chaos that was 2020, in regards to the pandemic, social and human rights crises across the world, we are all searching for that calm and peaceful feeling we once had. We included colors found in nature, in addition to sustainable fabrics as the trends to come. Not only were we focusing on clothing trends, but trends in other industries as well. We included interior designs that we predict will prominent in the next two years, in addition to views of textile wastelands that must be combated by not only the textile industry, but science and technology industries as well. We titled our trend forecast as “Europe in Bloom,” because after being in lockdown for the past year, everyone is yearning to travel and “Get Lost,” which is the title of the song in the video. The travel industry we predict as well is going to only grow after the pandemic and within the next two years. We selected the song as it is uplifting, and calm at the same time—something everyone in the world needs right now. In addition, we wanted to emphasize inclusivity, by including gender fluid and people of color in our video with an emphasis on women as well. Emma and I both sourced many of the pictures and videos from website resources, such as pexels.com or Pinterest, in addition to the inclusion of our own photography and videos. Although I edited and put together the video, Emma’s feedback, advice and ideas in collaboration with mine is what allowed us to produce such an amazing trend forecast.
