ProjectSace Residency / Triston Antoine, Part One – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Triston Antoine’s ProjectSpace Residency period transformed Bain Art’s gallery into a working studio space, inviting visitors to explore the intimacy of the creative process. This project is an installation of works across multiple mediums surrounding the theme of provocations to choose happiness. It’s about the process it takes to choose to create meaning and find enjoyment in one’s life through daily actions of self-expression. It’s about taking inspiration from the world immediate to us, engaging with the material of what’s there, and allowing that conversation – between the self and the inspirations we choose to fill our cup from – to lead us into the life we want to live and are meant to live. Through themes of wandering, finding joy in the little things, participation with the dance of life and nature, slow fashion, ecology and sustainability. The result will be artifacts: clothing, textiles, experimental adornment techniques, zines, photographs, paintings and illustrated pictures to be installed in the space for public viewing. Imbuing intentions, manifestations, dreams, and goals into artifacts that will aid those that make that object part of their life by way of agency of expression.
