Who says you can’t have fun while at work? When Singapore’s well-loved #jeweler Poh Heng� first introduced the Peranakan Ensemble Collection, Team #BrandStory curated an extraordinary private #launch true to travel roots. We let our creative juices run wild to create a fully Peranakan-themed #showcase, from rickshaw ride pick-ups �, beaded shoes artist to a fashion #runway at a historical museum NUS Baba House!

Who are the #Peranakans? Peranakans are descendants of Chinese traders who married locals from the straits regions and generally refer to people of mixed Chinese and Malay/Indonesian #heritage during the colonial era. �‍�‍�Thus, it is no surprise that the Peranakan culture has evolved to a unique hybrid of Chinese, Malay and Western #cultures. One of the defining features of the Peranakan culture is their signature style of fashion, the baju kebaya, as seen in the video! Special thanks to Laichan and DivCom for partnership.�
