The Showman is an episode of a television series entitled Only in America. The story follows an actual week in the Life of American Showband, Vince Vance & the Valiants. HEY… that’s me! In this 20 minute Rock-umentary, the band is captured in all their glory doing what they do best: traveling on the road in their madcap way —town-to-town playing gigs . Further depth is created, as it is from the perspective of the Australian personnel of Only in America —an audio and film production crew engaged by The Travel Channel. It’s a crazy Tour de Force of Farcical Reality when a Real Live Rock ’n Roll Band goes out on the road and, as fate would have it, EVERYTHING goes wrong. Throughout it all, the band’s love for performing seems to brush aside every obstacle. Nothing gets the best or even matters to this likeable family of brothers, the Valiants, and their sisters, the loveable and coy and charming Valiantettes.
