Official German Summer Hits (1983 – 2022)

A very hot summer is soon coming to a close as we head towards Fall season. Time to give you the updated version of my video with all the songs that were officially named ‚Summer Hit of the Year‘ by the Official German Charts. Please note that this started in 1990 so the songs before were choosen by me, because they all fit the criterias. As they are:

– has a catchy melody,
– you can dance to the beat,
– get you in the holiday mood
– should end up high in the German Single Chart (#1 if possible)
– is played in the clubs
– should be from an artist which hasn’t had huge success in the years before (this rule has recently been handled very lax as you will see)
