One of the great things about learning Broadcast Journalism is New York City are the career opportunities that only exist here. In 2019 New York Film Academy student Nicole Abebe got the chance to cover New York Fashion Week as a fully accredited journalist. As you might expect, the assignment was hectic but it also was fun. It also allowed her to network, and get a professional credit for her resume. Not bad, considering that five months earlier she had never shot video, nor edited a video and had never worked as an on-camera reporter!
