The Nutcracker is a Christmas tale from 1816 written by E.T.A. Hoffmann. We will try to create a modern nutcracker, to see if the old story was as relevant in 2020 as in 1816. We would create a modern adventure with strong references to the classic, and with a modern styling, which is found in ordinary retail stores – we wanted to show that with ordinary fashion we can create a unique fairytale, and everyone can be a part of a fairytale it is just a state of mind. We have created our own visual interpretation of the fairytale in a fairytale universe that moves between fantasy and reality. In the film, you meet Marie, the nutcracker and the mouse king who are shown in fragments from the whole Hoffmann story
In our team are there only 6 people, which consists of key makeup Henrik Steen, photographer Peter Irgens, Styling Birger Axelsen and Nina Ferrit, art director Mette Boesgaard and Charlotte Andersen that creat the ideer and marketing director at Rodovre centrum.
