„MODERN MAN“ was the debut single from Michael’s first album for SONY/Monument records. Unreleased in the U.S. the album was later picked up by German label AGR/Universal landing several songs in the top ten on the German and HotDIsc Charts, including „Modern Man“ and „No More Looking Over My Shoulder.“ The success of the album in Europe led to a tour and a featured appearance on the German/American Country Music Awards TV show.
