Meet Krista Vaicaitis

Krista Vaicaitis has led an exemplary career in the classroom setting as an educational partner and leader. Her work has taken her throughout New York to Florida and all the way to Grand Cayman. Although she is now in a transitional period in her career, she hopes to next find work in an advisor and recruitment role in the academic sphere. However, she also wouldn’t mind merging together some of her personal hobbies to create a diverse career for herself.

As for her personal hobbies, Krista is most involved in travel and cooking. Travel is one of Krista’s greatest passions, and it has been the beginning of many meaningful friendships and learning experiences. Throughout her journeys, she has been keen on digging deep into each destination’s particular culture, recognizing that one community may differ greatly from its neighboring population. Experiencing these cultures has grown Krista in many ways she never knew possible. She has come to create long-lasting friendships, finding common ground with people who were raised in entirely different cultures. Indulging in local foods and traditions that are particular to specific ethnicities and geographical locations has now become one of Krista’s favorite pastimes.

In her free time and throughout her travels, Krista also visits various markets in search of unique ingredients to stock her kitchen with. In her close circle of friends, Krista is famous for creating authentic recipes and recreating her favorite dishes from her travels. She is known as the home cook of her circle, and she enjoys indulging in themed dishes and perfecting her culinary skills. Even though she received no formal training in this area, she has become a self-taught cooking connoisseur.

Krista Vaicaitis hopes to use her academic skills and travel experiences to teach others about the world around them. Since travel has been a form of education for Krista, she hopes to use these privileges to impart this knowledge to others who may not have had the same traveling opportunities. She is grateful for each of the experiences she has had and hopes to inspire others to explore the world in the same way.
