Mamarapha College Be Brave Make Change

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Attending Mamarapha College is not an easy decision to make.

Students are often faced with many obstacles before even setting foot on the grounds, including financial, geographical, and personal obstacles.
Many students come from remote communities with limited connection to the rest of Australia.

It can be daunting to leave your family and friends, everything you’ve ever known, to make the long trip to Mamarapha College.

It’s not as simple as getting on a flight, some need to travel hours by road, fly in a light aircraft before flying commercial, often having to fly to opposite ends of Australia before finally making it to Perth.

Many students have never been on a plane before starting their journey to Mamarapha College.

They complete this journey 6 times per year for a total of 63 days away from home!

We think making a decision to go to Mamarapha College is very brave and they do it because of the love they have for God and the desire to make a change in their communities. These students want to better their families and friends, and help close some of the gaps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are faced with.

These students are making a change for their people and for reconciliation.

We want to challenge you to be brave and make a change. No matter how small you may think it is, it could help us move towards reconciliation and helping our First Nations People.
