[TRANSCRIPT]: – My name is Dr. Louise Morrell. I’m a medical oncologist, and I’m the medical director at Baptist Health Lynn Cancer Institute. My area of specialty in medical oncology has been breast oncology. And from there, I developed into being a specialist in genetics and cancer genetics and predisposition syndromes, like the BRCA gene. So currently, I specialize in cancer genetics. When a patient is diagnosed with cancer, we understand, I understand, but our team understands that that has an enormous impact on them. And the first and most important thing is really to help the patient be able to realize they have time to learn and to digest the information and to ask the questions. All of those things arise from being able to put yourself in the place of that patient and all the different things that this disease diagnosis is gonna have an impact on in their lives. That’s what empathy really is. I can’t imagine doing cancer care unless you brought that to the table. So, the advantage to multi-modality care for the patient is it’s efficient. We get all the records together. It’s quick because we’ve brought all the doctors together. There’s no delay in getting any appointments put together. They’re informed, and their family members are informed, and their questions are getting answered. And then everything can be scheduled and coordinated from that point forward. So it really is a more efficient way of taking care of the patient with the advantages of all the advances as specialists and expertise being brought to the patient. So, Lynn Cancer Institute has been growing for many years in a very intentional way. Place we started was the family, the patient, and the team, and having a unified goal of having the best outcome for that patient. We have brought in expert doctors. We have now partnered with Baptist Health. We have opportunity to do advanced technology. We have opportunity to do advances in all of the infusion, immunotherapy. We can bring all of that together, and we can bring that all together in a coordinated fashion.
