FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Architectural Shapes was inspired by the combination of architectural shapes and textures. I visited exhibitions in London, visiting Tate Modern, V&A and Alexandra Palace, and photographed a variety of different buildings. I took photographs of traditional buildings in order to develop my drawings and ideas to create modern pattern designs from the textures and complex shapes within these architectural structures. To produce my collection I created my samples using digital drawings from illustrator and Photoshop and heat pressed them onto a variety of interior materials such as, denver, recycled slub, cotton drill and textured wallpaper to reflect my application.

Intertwining fruit and the human body is a collection that I created, trying to capture the idea of fruit and the human body being a representation of each other. I wanted to show this through colour, texture and shape. Using my own photographs and going in to digitally edit them to create different motifs and textures with my findings. I created samples using heat press and hand embroidery to highlight main aspects of the print. I then placed it onto different high street fashion pieces that had been supported by my previous research through WGSN and within high street and high end clothing lines.
