Launching the Miller Institute for Global Education

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

I’m pleased to announce the launch of the Miller Institute for Global Education.

Globalization is key to our mission, our vision and our strategic plan, so I am excited that we’re taking this first major step forward in our strategic plan through the Miller Institute for Global Education. This comes from the generosity of Board of Trustees Secretary Pete Miller, a longtime trustee and former chair, and his wife, Cathy Miller.

The Millers’ support started in 2006 with an endowment to send Brenau students abroad, enriching the lives of hundreds of Brenau students through short and long-term experiences and preparing them to enter the world stage.

This new gift will expand those opportunities. More students will be able to travel abroad. We will be able to support students earning prestigious scholarships, like Borens, Gilmans and Fulbrights. And we will develop programs to facilitate meaningful interaction among students who come from this country and around the world.

On behalf of the university and personally, I extend the warmest thanks to the Millers. I can’t wait to see the impact the institute will make on the lives of students and the influence they will make on the world.
