FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Jennifer Green (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) and Sarah Paramor (Applecross, Scotland) share insights into the preparatory work created during their collaborative SHIFT Canada residency that culminated in ‚Shoes for Mary‘ exhibited at Meet Make Collaborate.

Jennifer is Assistant Professor of Textiles at NSCAD and a weaver. She has designed for mills in Britain and Japan and collaborated on projects relating to fashion, vehicle design, footwear and accessories.

Basketmaker Sarah applies heritage processes to unexpected materials to create playful contemporary pieces for exhibition and the catwalk.

Insight into the international collaborating makers‘ residencies and practices via a series of studio visits / demonstrations is a strand of ‚Identity, Collaboration, Sustainability: an online, international festival of craft‘, Monday 27 – Thursday 30 September 2021.

The festival is presented and funded by Applied Arts Scotland SCIO, Edinburgh College of Art, MSVU Art Gallery, and The Dr Sandra Alfoldy Craft Institute at NSCAD University. It is funded by Creative Scotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
